How to use this tool

  • Choose one unencrypted PDF and enter its page number.
  • Choose Preview page. Set region percentages and increasing column boundaries within that region; the preview shows your boundaries.
  • Adjust the baseline tolerance for grouping fragments into rows and select Excel or CSV.
  • Choose Extract table, inspect the cell preview, then download and verify the workbook or CSV. Adjust boundaries and repeat if needed.

Examples

Set two column boundaries around a three-column invoice table and export its selectable text to Excel.

Limitations

  • One selected page from a PDF of at most 500 pages. At most 100,000 text fragments, 2 MiB text, 10,000 rows and 50 columns. Workbook cells have a 32,767-character limit.
  • Horizontal left-to-right text only in the visible page orientation. Region selection uses text baselines and complete fragment widths. A fragment crossing the region or a column boundary is rejected; move the boundary instead of silently splitting text.
  • No OCR, automatic table recognition, merged-cell or multiline-cell inference, header detection or numeric conversion. Rows group baselines within the selected PDF-point tolerance; nearby rows may merge at high tolerances. Cell-edge whitespace is trimmed.
  • All XLSX cells are inert strings with leading zeroes preserved. CSV formula-like values receive a protective apostrophe, which changes those exported strings. No formulas, external links or macros are generated.
  • Preview shows at most 50 rows and 200 characters per cell. Page preview includes supported saved annotation appearances; text extraction uses embedded page text and may include hidden text. Review results against the visible page.
  • Browser-local worker processing has a 120-second deadline. Files and output stay on the device. Cancel or Reset stops the worker and clears working results.
