How to use this tool
- Paste or choose CSV input and choose the delimiter.
- Set the one-based Group column and a different Numeric column.
- Review Protect spreadsheet formulas, then select Aggregate groups.
- Download grouped-values.csv or grouped-values.tsv with group, count, sum, min and max columns.
Examples
Rows A,0.1 and A,0.2 produce group A with count 2, sum 0.3, minimum 0.1 and maximum 0.2.
Limitations
- CSV needs a header and at least one data row, with unique nonempty header names and equal column counts. Quoted delimiters, line breaks and doubled quotes are supported.
- Up to 5 MiB UTF-8 input, 50,000 data rows, 500 columns, 500,000 cells and 20 MiB output.
- Choose comma, tab, semicolon or pipe explicitly. Output uses that delimiter; tab output downloads as TSV.
- Spreadsheet formula protection starts on. Formula expressions receive a leading apostrophe; complete signed numeric text stays numeric. CSV cannot declare cell types, so import leading-zero or signed IDs as text when needed.
- Up to 50,000 exact-string groups. Numeric values need 1–18 digits total, an optional sign and at most six fraction digits. Spaces, exponents, thousands separators and blank numeric values are rejected.
- The accumulator permits at most 32 scaled integer digits. Output removes leading integer zeros and trailing fractional zeros and normalizes signed zero. Generated negative totals remain valid numeric text when spreadsheet protection is on.
- Calculates count, sum, minimum and maximum only. No average, rounding, locale inference, filtering or multiple grouping columns.
