How to use this tool
- Paste a rectangular table or choose one UTF-8 file; the selected file takes precedence. The first row must contain unique nonempty headers.
- Choose comma, tab, semicolon or pipe and the one-based Column position.
- Choose whether empty cells count and whether output follows first appearance or descending count. Equal counts retain first appearance.
- Keep spreadsheet formula protection on unless literal formula-like values are required, select Count values and download the complete result.
Examples
For color values red, blue, red and empty, the default report contains red: 2 / 50.000000%, blue: 1 / 25.000000% and empty: 1 / 25.000000%.
Limitations
- Up to 5 MiB UTF-8 input, 50,000 data rows, 500 columns and 500,000 cells including the header; output: 20 MiB. Malformed, ragged or header-only tables are rejected.
- Values compare exactly, including spaces, case, Unicode spelling and leading zeroes. Excluding empties removes only exactly empty text from both counts and the percentage denominator.
- Percentages use included data rows and round to six decimal places; rounded percentages may not sum to 100. No numeric grouping, normalization or statistical significance is inferred.
- Outputs quote every cell with CRLF records and UTF-8 without a BOM, retaining the selected delimiter. Spreadsheet protection may prefix formula-like values with an apostrophe. Tab output is TSV; other supported separators use CSV. CSV does not declare spreadsheet cell types.
