How to use this tool
- Paste CSV or choose a file and select Input delimiter.
- Choose two distinct one-based Row category column and Column category column positions.
- Select Build cross tab and download cross-tab.csv and cross-tab-map.json together.
Examples
Pairs red/small, red/large, red/small produce one row with counts 2,1; JSON maps those columns back to small and large.
Limitations
- 5 MiB input, 50,000 rows, 500 source columns, 500,000 source cells, at most 499 column categories and 500,000 matrix cells including header; 20 MiB combined output and 30 seconds.
- Original labels occur in JSON, not CSV. Fixed CSV IDs are intentional; use the ordered mapping to interpret axes.
- Count-only cross tab: no numeric pivot measures, percentages, weights or significance inference.
