How to use this tool
- Paste text or select one UTF-8 file. Choose alternate or inverse; the start control applies only to alternate.
- Select Convert case. Cased scalars advance alternation across records; uncased scalars copy unchanged.
- Download converted-case.txt and the complete case-conversion-report.json, including expansions and changed spans.
Examples
Starting uppercase changes Hello world to HeLlO wOrLd; uncased spaces do not advance the alternation.
Limitations
- At most 200000 UTF-16 units, 800000 UTF-8 bytes, 50000 logical lines/changed rows and 65536 units per line; 5 MiB combined output and 30 seconds.
- Locale-neutral runtime upper/lower mappings can expand a scalar into several characters. No normalization, full case folding, random case or involution guarantee.
