This tool needs JavaScript. If it does not load, refresh the page and try again.

How to use this tool

  • Paste text or select one UTF-8 file, including BOM and original CR/LF bytes if needed.
  • Select Inspect case statistics. Compare global totals with each logical record; separators count globally only.
  • Download case-statistics.json for all seven distributions, exact fractions and six-place percentages.

Examples

Aa 1! contributes one uppercase, one lowercase, one decimal digit and one punctuation scalar.

Limitations

  • At most 200000 UTF-16 units, 800000 UTF-8 bytes, 50000 logical lines and 65536 units per line; 5 MiB output and 30 seconds.
  • Global counts include record delimiters and file BOM as data; per-line counts exclude delimiters. The declared 25-scalar whitespace set is used; FEFF is other.
  • General-category membership follows this JavaScript runtime. Counts are Unicode scalars, with no fixed-version, grapheme-width, word or language claim.
