How to use this tool

  • Set the time range, thumbnail count, columns and thumbnail width. Download the PNG and timestamp JSON.
  • Choose Process video and inspect the result before downloading.
  • Cancel and Reset stop processing and invalidate previous results.

Examples

Create a labelled overview of a clip for reviewing scenes at a glance.

Limitations

  • Browser-local processing in a killable worker with a 120-second deadline and disabled network. At most 128 MiB input/combined output and a readable duration up to five minutes.
  • Up to 16 recognized audio/video tracks, 8 megapixels per frame and 8192 pixels per side. Audio tracks must have one or two channels at 8–96 kHz. Local files only, no playlists or URLs.
  • 2–60 thumbnails, 1–8 columns and 96–640-pixel thumbnail width. The complete sheet must fit 8 megapixels and 8192 pixels per side; extreme portrait aspect ratios may require smaller settings.
  • Samples cover the selected half-open range: start is included and end is excluded. Labels show requested seconds; the JSON gives actual preceding source-frame timestamps. Source holds repeat, and a leading gap produces a labelled black cell. Alpha is composited onto black; no audio.
  • Decoded work is limited to 9,000 source packets and four billion decoded/output pixels, including separate alpha decoding. The report is not a frame-exact export of every source frame.
