How to use this tool
- Choose a local image of the displayed format.
- Select a TIFF page or output format when offered, then choose Process image.
- Review the dimensions and scope note, then download the result. Cancel and Reset stop processing and clear results.
Examples
Convert a two-page scan with supported strip compression, or inspect its compression before exporting.
Limitations
- 32 MiB input, 16 million pixels per image, 16,384 pixels per side, up to 100 TIFF pages and 32 million total page pixels, 128 MiB output and a 30-second worker deadline.
- Processing stays in the browser. Exported images do not copy source metadata or embedded profiles. Sample-based decoders interpret pixels as sRGB; no print color-fidelity claim.
- Classic TIFF top-level directories only. Conversion supports strip-based unsigned grayscale, RGB and palette images, raw, PackBits, TIFF LZW and Deflate compression, with the displayed sample-depth and channel limits. No CCITT fax/JPEG compression, BigTIFF, tiles, planar channels, CMYK or floating-point conversion.
- TIFF orientation and declared alpha are applied. Sixteen-bit samples become eight-bit output. Inspector reports unsupported conversion formats and is not a full metadata audit.
