How to use this tool
- Enter Left text and Right text. Unicode normalization defaults to NFC; select None to retain distinct composed and decomposed spellings.
- Choose Ignore ASCII letter case and Ignore ASCII whitespace and punctuation. Both options default on; they do not perform Unicode-wide case folding or punctuation removal.
- Select Compare anagrams, then Download result to save anagram-report.json. Edit input or Reset clears the result; Cancel discards unfinished work.
Examples
Dormitory! and Dirty room match under the defaults. The report includes all normalized code-point counts in numeric code-point order.
Limitations
- Each input supports at most 1,048,576 UTF-16 units and 200,000 normalized Unicode code points. Their union supports 50,000 distinct code points. JSON output is limited to 5 MiB and processing to 30 seconds.
- NFC runs first, followed by ASCII A–Z folding and optional ASCII removal: U+0009–U+000D, U+0020, U+0021–U+002F, U+003A–U+0040, U+005B–U+0060 and U+007B–U+007E.
- Both normalized inputs must be nonempty. This compares code-point multisets, without dictionary lookup, grapheme counting, accent stripping or full Unicode case folding.
- Pasted textarea line endings normalize to LF. The JSON download contains the complete report even when the on-page text preview is shortened.
