How to use this tool

  • Enter Absolute base URL and Relative reference; an empty reference is allowed.
  • Select Resolve URL.
  • Download resolved-url.json to compare supplied text and canonical components.

Examples

Base https://example.test/a/b/ with ../c?x=1#part resolves to https://example.test/a/c?x=1#part.

Limitations

  • 4,096 UTF-16 units per field, 32 KiB combined input, 64 KiB report and 30 seconds. Escaped output expansion is bounded separately.
  • Credentials in either the supplied base or final result and non-HTTP(S) results are rejected. Component strings use the standard URL API encoded representation.
  • No fetch, navigation, DNS/redirect resolution, input auto-prefixing, path allowlist or security-safe destination certification.
