How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF document and enter Physical pages in the desired order, or leave blank for all within the selected-page limit.
- Choose Color mode and whole DPI. Threshold cutoff from 0–255 is used only by Black/white threshold mode.
- Select Convert PDF colors and download raster-color.pdf. Review every page before using the destructive raster copy.
Examples
At cutoff 128, weighted RGB luminance below 128 becomes black and luminance at or above 128 becomes white.
Limitations
- One PDF up to 50 MiB/500 source pages; at most 50 selected pages and whole 36–150 DPI. Full viewport work is checked before any rendering canvas: 12 megapixels per page, 50 megapixels total and 16,384 pixels per side.
- Remaining rendered and transformed intermediate PNG payloads are bounded at 100 MiB; output PDF up to 100 MiB. Pixel buffers are processed sequentially; 120-second worker limit.
- Grayscale rounds .2126R+.7152G+.0722B; inversion uses 255 minus each RGB channel. Threshold compares the unrounded weighted value with the chosen cutoff.
- Saved annotations and forms are omitted by the renderer. Searchable text, vectors, interactive links/forms, bookmarks, attachments and source signatures are not retained.
- No vector-preserving recoloring, CMYK/profile fidelity, original-structure preservation or redaction claim. Unsupported local render features fail instead of saving partial output.
