How to use this tool

  • Choose a blank page or an unencrypted PDF background.
  • Preview the page and drag a field rectangle, or enter its coordinates from the visible page’s top-left in PDF points.
  • Choose the field type, unique name, tooltip, default value and applicable choices. Select Add field and repeat as needed.
  • Select Create interactive PDF, download it and open it in a supporting PDF reader to fill the new fields. Use Undo last field, Clear fields or Reset to revise your form.

Examples

Add a name text box, a consent checkbox and a plan dropdown to an application form.

Limitations

  • One unencrypted PDF up to 50 MiB and 100 pages, or one blank page. Up to 100 fields, 200 widgets, 64 KiB of settings and 100 MiB output. A worker deadline limits each operation to 120 seconds.
  • Source page content is copied. Existing forms, annotations, bookmarks, attachments and document actions are omitted. This creates a fresh form and does not edit existing fields.
  • Text defaults use embedded Noto Sans for supported Latin, Greek and Cyrillic characters. Complex scripts and emoji are unsupported. Radio labels must fit their rectangle.
  • Required and read-only flags depend on the PDF reader. No submission, calculations, scripting, XFA, digital signing or automatic validation is added.
  • Preview outlines guide placement; review the downloaded field appearances and behavior in your PDF reader. Processing and generated files stay in the browser.
