Examples
A value of 001 remains text; a value beginning with = is not evaluated as a formula.
Limitations
- Unencrypted ODS, ODT and ODP packages up to 20 MiB; flat XML and templates are unsupported. ZIP limits: 1,000 entries, 16 MiB per entry and 64 MiB expanded. Parsed XML parts are limited to 8 MiB, 200,000 nodes and 64 levels. Macros and digital signatures are rejected.
- Spreadsheet data: 50 sheets, 50,000 populated rows per sheet, 500 columns, 500,000 total rectangular cells and 32,767 characters per cell. Huge unused trailing row/column repetitions are trimmed before allocation.
- Spreadsheet conversions preserve displayed or cached text values, not formulas, formatting, charts, links or merged-cell layout. Hidden data is included. Formulas require saved cached results and are never evaluated. XLSX output sheet names must meet Excel naming rules. ODS output content XML is limited to 8 MiB.
- Text/HTML extraction follows XML paragraph order rather than page layout. ODT tables become paragraphs; comments and tracked-deletion history are omitted. Saved fields may be stale. HTML contains escaped text only and does not embed images or links.
- Metadata removal clears only standard meta.xml properties. Comments, changes, document text, images and other settings may contain identifying information. Supported Pictures/ media is copied unchanged without rendering or execution; linked and inline binary images are not extracted.
- Processing uses a cancellable 60-second local worker. No document resources, links or macros are fetched or executed. Text/HTML output is limited to 8 MiB.
