How to use this tool

  • Choose Direction: Text to NATO words or NATO words to text. Enter Input text.
  • For encoding, use ASCII letters, digits, spaces and LF line breaks. For decoding, separate canonical words, single digits and standalone / tokens with exactly one ASCII space; empty lines are allowed.
  • Select Translate, then Download result to save phonetic.txt or decoded-text.txt. Edit input or Reset clears the result; Cancel discards unfinished work.

Examples

Ab 7 becomes Alfa Bravo / 7. Decoding that token sequence returns AB 7, retaining the space and digit.

Limitations

  • Input supports 1,048,576 UTF-16 units, output 5 MiB and processing 30 seconds. Empty input is allowed.
  • Encoding accepts ASCII letters, digits, spaces and LF only. Reverse translation rejects aliases such as Alpha, Juliet, Whisky and Xray, tabs, punctuation and malformed token spacing.
  • Letter case is intentionally lost. Decoding returns uppercase ASCII letters; digits, source spaces and LF/empty lines are preserved.
  • Pasted textarea line endings normalize to LF. No speech, audio, pronunciation of digits, radio procedure certification or natural-language transliteration is provided.
