Pasted text, One UTF-8 text file

morse.txt, decoded-text.txt, morse-report.json

Browser only

Runs locally in your browser. Your files, pasted content and generated output are not uploaded. Reset clears this tool’s working data.

How to use this tool

  • Choose encode or decode and paste input, or select one UTF-8 file to replace the paste.
  • Select Translate Morse. Encode admits ASCII letters/digits/spaces; decode requires known signal or slash tokens with exactly one separating ASCII space.
  • Download the complete text and morse-report.json; inspect all symbol and source/output spans.

Examples

SOS encodes as ... --- ...; each source space becomes an explicit slash token.

Limitations

  • At most 200000 UTF-16 units, 800000 UTF-8 bytes, 50000 logical records/tokens and 65536 units per record; 5 MiB combined output and 30 seconds.
  • Only the frozen 36-symbol A–Z/0–9 table, ASCII spaces and record delimiters are supported. Punctuation, Unicode signals, prosigns, audio and timing are outside this tool.
  • Decode emits uppercase letters. Explicit slash tokens preserve spaces; original letter case is not recovered.
