How to use this tool
- Paste JSON input or choose a UTF-8 JSON file; the file takes precedence.
- Enter JSON Pointer (text form), including an empty pointer for the root. Use ~0 for tilde and ~1 for slash.
- Select Resolve pointer, then Download result to save selected.json.
Examples
For {"a/b":{"~key":[9007199254740993]}}, /a~1b/~0key/0 selects the exact number 9007199254740993.
Limitations
- Up to 5 MiB UTF-8 JSON, 200,000 values, 40 nesting levels and 10,000 characters per number. Pointer: at most 4,096 UTF-16 units and 40 segments. Output at most 20 MiB; 30-second processing deadline.
- Text form only: no URI fragment, wildcard, filter or expression evaluation. Arrays reject dash, leading zeros and missing indices; numeric object keys remain keys. Duplicate JSON keys and invalid Unicode/UTF-8 are rejected.
- Pasted line endings normalize to LF. Exact number tokens are retained; whitespace formatting is compacted. Download contains one selected value, without a result envelope.
