How to use this tool
- Paste JSON input or choose a UTF-8 JSON file; the file takes precedence. Input must be a top-level array.
- Set Records per chunk from 1 to 50,000. The chosen size must produce at most 100 chunks.
- Select Create JSON chunks, then Download result to save json-chunks.zip with chunk-0001.json etc and manifest.json.
Examples
Five records at two per chunk produce complete JSON arrays containing two, two and one records. [] produces one [] chunk.
Limitations
- Up to 5 MiB UTF-8 input, 50,000 top-level records, 200,000 values, 40 nesting levels and 10,000 characters per number. At most 100 chunks, 16 MiB per entry and 20 MiB total serialized entries/ZIP; 30-second deadline.
- Record boundaries and order are retained. No randomization, byte-target splitting, type inference or user-derived filenames. The ZIP and its entries are preflighted; no partial archive on a limit error.
- Manifest SHA-256 values detect changes to entries; they do not authenticate a source. JSON whitespace formatting is compacted while exact written number tokens remain.
