How to use this tool
- Enter minimum and maximum font sizes in pixels, then the two ascending viewport widths.
- Choose px or rem output, an explicit root size for rem, and a decimal precision from 0 through 12.
- Select Calculate fluid type CSS and download fluid-type.css plus the exact coefficient and rounding-error report.
Examples
For 16–32 px fonts across 320–1280 px viewports, a 16 px rem context and six places give clamp(1rem, calc(0.666667rem + 1.666667vw), 2rem).
Limitations
- Fixed unsigned decimals allow18 total digits and6 fraction digits. Font/root values are positive and at most10,000px; viewports are positive, ascending and at most100,000px.
- Rounded CSS is approximate. No accessibility, actual root-size or physical-pixel assurance.1MiB combined output;30 seconds.
