How to use this tool
- Enter the input and explicit options shown. A selected UTF-8 file wins its corresponding pasted text.
- Select Replace selected fields and inspect the complete stated conventions.
- Download replaced.csv, regex-replacement-report.json.
Examples
Replacing digits with$& inserts the literal$& text,without capture substitution.
Limitations
- At most1 MiB UTF-8,1000 data rows,100 columns,20000 cells including headers,20 selected columns,200 pattern/1000 replacement UTF-16 units,1000 selected calls/200000 cumulative selected source units,5 MiB combined output and30 seconds.
- Existing JavaScript flags/syntax and1000matches per call apply. Each replacement result is also limited to2 MiB UTF-8 before cell/report retention. No750ms-per-cell or universal regex speed claim.
- Replacement is literal,without $capture interpolation. Matching is within parsed selected fields; header participation is explicit. Formula protection is on by default for CSV only; complete numeric tokens remain literal and CSV cannot declare types.
- The native replacement textarea normalizes CR/CRLF line endings to LF. Replacement text is literal, including admitted LF characters.
