How to use this tool
- Enter the admitted input using CSV input, Input delimiter, Columns (blank means all), Edges, Whitespace policy. A selected UTF-8 source file takes precedence over paste.
- Choose columns, edge direction and whitespace policy. Select Include header only when the same header fields should be trimmed; set spreadsheet protection.
- Select Trim CSV fields and download trimmed.csv, trim-report.json.
Examples
The field " Alice " becomes Alice under both-edge ASCII trimming; its interior text remains unchanged.
Limitations
- 5 MiB input; 50,000 data rows, 500 columns and 500,000 cells. CSV plus the complete change report must fit 20 MiB; 30-second processing limit.
- ASCII or the fixed ECMAScript whitespace set only; no collapsing, normalization or type conversion. Transformed headers must remain nonempty and unique, including after spreadsheet protection.
