How to use this tool

  • Enter Opaque color lines, one numeric color per physical line. Blank trimmed lines are ignored.
  • Select Summarize palette.
  • Download color-summary.json for normalized inputs, exact sums, frequencies, mean and dominant entry.

Examples

Equal black and white give encoded-RGB mean #808080. Their frequency tie is won by whichever appears first.

Limitations

  • 1 through 1,000 colors, 300 UTF-16 units per original physical line, 301,000 total input units, 300 KiB input, 1 MiB report and 30 seconds.
  • The mean is equal-weight arithmetic on encoded eight-bit sRGB channels, rounded half upward. It is not linear-light or perceptual averaging. Nonopaque alpha, named colors and CSS variables are rejected.
  • No image sampling, subject detection, clustering, ICC/profile fidelity or calibrated image-average claim.
