• Avro1.12 primitive/named record/enum/fixed,array,map and union structure with depth-first declared names and self-recursion. Check unique names/fields/branches,supported aliases,enum fallback and field defaults. Union defaults use the first matching branch;int/long defaults require exact integer source tokens within signed bounds,float/double defaults must remain finite,bytes/fixed defaults use code points0–255. Record defaults can complete missing fields through their own defaults but require no unknown keys or infinite completion. Fixed size is a nonnegative integer token up to2147483647,without allocating bytes. Unknown metadata remains metadata;logicalType values are inventoried without validating logical constraints. Refuse malformed/unresolved/forward schemas and unsupported defaults. No data encoding or logical-type certification. At most20000 schema nodes/40 levels/100000 default checks/40 completion levels;shared JSON/input/output budgets apply.
• Text fields are limited to100,000 UTF16 units each and400,000 combined UTF8 bytes; file fields have their own displayed limits. Combined output is at most4MiB. Processing stops after30 seconds; tool-specific bounds may be tighter.
