About this flow

Rename a worksheet for a handoff and clear standard workbook document properties while preserving the remainder of its package. Only xl/workbook.xml and existing docProps/core.xml, app.xml and custom.xml may change. Other entries, including worksheet XML, styles, comments/author, hidden-sheet state and package relationships, remain byte-identical. The existing rename refuses any formulas, defined names or hyperlinks; signed/macro/embedded/external-link workbooks are unsupported.

Limitations

This is not anonymization. Comments and their authors, hidden sheets/cells, pictures, media metadata and user content remain. Only the chosen tab name and standard docProps/core.xml, app.xml and custom.xml properties change. Formulas, defined names, hyperlinks, signed packages, macros, embedded objects and external workbook links are unsupported. Keep the original and review the remaining content before sharing.
No native Microsoft Excel execution, Office page-layout reproduction, other browser engine, physical device or universal feature compatibility is established.
