Crop a Screenshot for Sharing

Choose the screenshot rectangle to share and make a size-capped JPEG or WebP copy locally.

Processing stays in this browser. Runtime assets download by GET. Original and early intermediate downloads retain excluded surroundings; re-encoding is not an exhaustive anonymity guarantee.

About this flow

Re-encode a local screenshot, select zero-based crop coordinates and exact dimensions, then encode a JPEG or WebP under your chosen byte cap without resizing. Review the real cropped output before sharing.

Limitations

Static PNG/JPEG/WebP,20MiB,4MP,8192 pixels per side.
No shrinking to meet the target; an impossible cap stops with the cropped checkpoint.
JPEG/WebP are lossy; no universal color-fidelity or redaction claim.
