HTML Source to Clean Reading Text

Extract readable text from HTML source and normalize whitespace into a downloadable TXT reading copy, locally in your browser.

Source and processing stay in this browser. No upload/account is required. The pure HTML parser does not execute source scripts or load source URLs. Original and intermediate downloads retain their own contents; this is not redaction.

This flow needs JavaScript. If it does not load, refresh the page and try again.

About this flow

Paste HTML source or choose a UTF-8 TXT copy. Extract readable text and decoded entities without running scripts or loading resources, then choose deliberate whitespace cleanup. Download the clean TXT, original source and extracted intermediate. This reads supplied source; it does not fetch pages or identify the main article.

Limitations

  • At most 500,000 UTF-16 units and 2,000,000 input bytes. HTML source is pasted or supplied as UTF-8 TXT; no page fetching or email-container parsing.
  • Malformed markup may be repaired. Scripts/styles/templates/noscript/comments are omitted; images, URL destinations, visual layout and exact rendered reading order are not preserved.
  • Cleanup deliberately changes whitespace. Bounded synchronous parsing cannot be interrupted mid-call.
  • Native other-browser/physical-device behavior, hidden heap reclamation and erasure remain unproven.
